Beaches of India

Calangute beach
Calangute derived its name from the local dialect word Koli Gutti which means the land of fisherman. Known as the queen of the beaches, Calangute is the most popular holiday resort in Goa. This sandy beach is surrounded with innumerable food stalls selling authentic Goanese food. There are many shops and stalls from where you can buy chunky jewelry, colorful T Shirts and good quality handicraft items.

Kovalam Beach (Kerela)
Kovalam beach lies in the fishing village Kovalam which is 10 kms from the capital city of Kerela, Tiruvananthpuram. The grove of lush green coconut and palm trees gives a ravishing look to the beach.

Juhu Beach
Juhu beach is the most popular and the busiest beach of Mumbai. The beach is studded with countless food stalls where you can relish the famous street food of Mumbai. Juhu beach remains the major avenue for immersion during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Marina beach
The sprawling Marina beach lies to the east of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. Stretching for about 13 kilometers, this sandy beach is said to be one of the longest beaches of the world. Marina beach was developed as a tourist destination by the then Governor Mount start Elphinestone Grant Duff in the early 1880’s.
